Lucky Number Seven…?

David and Victoria Beckham welcomed their fourth child into the world recently at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. A baby girl for the pair who already have 3 sons: Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8 and Cruz, 5.

Breaking the news on 10^th July via his Facebook page, David wrote: “I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham. She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7:55 this morning, here in LA. Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister xx."


David’s announcement contained the long-awaited news of the name to be given to the newest addition of the Beckham clan, and ‘Harper Seven Beckham’ soon hit headlines all over the world.














The football icon and his former ‘Spice Girls’ singer wife Victoria had apparently decided on their newborn baby’s name before she was born, with Victoria loving the old English name. Reports also suggest that 'Harper' was approved by the couple’s three sons who liked it as a character in their favourite Disney TV show also went by the same name.

As for ‘Seven’, Harper was born in the seventh month, of the seventh hour, during the seventh day of the week, weighing 7 pounds. Seven was of course David’s squad number for both Manchester United and England. Coincidence?
