Bolton Midfielder collapses on pitch

Bolton Midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed during the first half of his side's FA Cup tie with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. Manager Owen Coyle told the awaiting press  outside a Hospital in North London that the coming hours will be ‘crucial’ in the Midfielder's battle for survival and urged Fans, Players & the rest of the Footballing World to pray for Fabrice.

The former Arsenal Player collapsed with a suspected Cardiac Arrest during the first half of the FA Cup Quarter Final between Spurs and Bolton Wanderers.

Teammates and opponents rushed to his side looking on in horror as Medics and staff from both Teams worked hard to resuscitate the Player.

Referee Howard Webb summoned the Players into the dressing room before calling off the game as agreed by both Clubs.

23-year-old Muamba has a son called Joshua and is engaged to be married to his girlfriend following his proposal on Valentines Day this year.

We received supportive Tweets for Fabrice from both Stoke City Midfielder Jermaine Pennant & British Journalist Mike Parry wishing him a speedy recovery.
